You're a bundle of contradictions in the worst possible way. My heart sways like a pendulum with every breath. But perhaps I've stilled the movement, at least for the moment. I don't want to be here in this cold room, staring at the ceiling. All my thoughts scattered up there, in glow-in-the-dark paint. I feel like a cellmate, with an artistic soul and an active imagination. Solitary confinement never was my strong suit. But I'm better at it than most. I'd rather be in your bed. Warm and snuggled up beside you, your arm around my waist. Watching some cheesy movie, but really-- we'd just spend all two hours and thirty minutes making fun of it. And we'd smile at one another. I don't think I can do this. I feel so many emotions running through my veins, it's electric, like a shock to my system. It feels as if it should stop my heart, like I shouldn't be able to bear it. I want to run away. The emotions build up, tumble down my spine, energy crackling and branching up my sides. I feel numb to the touch except for one place: There's a tingling in my shoulder blades. I think I used to have wings. Sometimes I check my back, just to see. Maybe there's some evidence there, some scars where my wings used to be. I never find any scars except on my arms. And that's where my heart used to be.

The air is cold and as I burrow deeper into my blankets, I find only loneliness. Warmth is evasive in winter, the sun blocked out by the clouds. The trees are losing leaves, losing hues. It's pretty cliche to have the blues. And I drive everywhere and nowhere at the same time, waiting for some kind of sign. Detour. One way. Yield. No U-Turns. Stop. Happiness is fleeting these days. Like those few seconds of clarity when you realize your car is about to crash. And there's nothing more you can do... Except wait for the pain to come.

I thought I had a chance… A minuscule reason for hope. But I don’t. I thought if I kept trying… You would love me again. But you won’t. I thought I knew who you were… But I don’t know you at all. The pages are changing like the light in his eyes that dances and weaves screams and sighs. They switch and turn of their own accord leaving her hanging in the balance waiting and anticipating the unforeseen. So she carries on (she has to keep reading despite the fact she isn't even comprehending the language anymore). She felt it break. An imaginary fault line cracking down her heart. Like it was California and this was just another earthquake. She put her hand to her chest and pulled it away. Expecting to see blood dripping from her fingertips. A wound this painful had to show. The tremor always carries an aftershock. She forgot how to walk. So I woke up tonight, wishing I could fall back to sleep. I woke up to silence, nothing in particular. 3 AM isn't exactly the best time to start missing you. Love songs are drifting through the airwaves. And the rising nausea makes me feel sick, For more reasons than the obvious. So I woke up tonight, remembering I had homework. I woke up coughing, the room achingly humid. 4 AM isn't the best time to attempt quadratic equations. The numbers and letters twist and turn. I see X's and Y's, but no I's and U's. Mathematics never were my forte. So I woke up tonight, dreaming turned to thinking. I woke up contemplating my state of mind.

Miss me? LOL. People probably forgot I even existed, it's been so long since I've updated this, journal-wise anyway. Over a year! I really miss deviantart though and I'm trying to transition back. I've been uploading some poetry here, and some on my Facebook page too. It really helps me as an outlet. I also started writing a blog on tumblr. A lot's been going on. I got new obsession-ish stuff. Twilight, still, of course. Castle is one of my favorite shows, along with Better off Ted, even though it got canceled. :( I also have a weird guilty pleasure in Jersey Shore haha. Oh. Wow college sucks. Well... no, I really like it. It just takes a lot out of me. I've been waiting to post a new journal until I could get subscriptions for me and my twinnie...
